You’ll be taken to Scouting America’s national registration system.
2. At checkout, select “Get Military Discount Code.”
This opens the verification step.
3. Verify your family’s service.
A quick form confirms current Active Duty, Reserve, or National Guard status.
4. Receive your discount code.
It will be shown on the screen and emailed to you.
5. Enter your code at checkout.
The $85 national fee drops to $0 immediately.
HEADS UP: You’ll see $85 at checkout.
That’s expected. The national registration fee appears during the checkout flow and is removed automatically once your verification code is applied. You will not pay the $85.
Who's Eligible.
This waiver covers any youth member registering in Cub Scouts, Scouts BSA, Sea Scouts, or Exploring whose family has current service in:
ACTIVE DUTY | RESERVE | NATIONAL GUARD
If a parent, guardian, or sponsor is currently serving in any branch under one of those categories, your child qualifies. The waiver applies to both new registrations and renewals, but only when registering online.
